will 6 volt farm and flrrt batteries work or is there something else I need to buy you guy where right there where 3 12 volt marine bateries in ther instead of 6 now I need to know good price where to get them kids dying to ride this ting first one have no qlue

I'd say no on the farm batts. Stick with dedicated golf cart batteries. Trojan makes a good one and I've heard NAPA has a golf cart battery that was highly rated by a consumer organization and likely much more economical than Trojans.
Safety note: Your 1986 model EZGo is a resistor type speed control. The resistor coils bleed off excess voltage to control speed. Excessive slow speed driving will cause the resistor coils to become red hot. Anything combustible coming into contact with the coils WILL catch fire. The only time the resistor coils are out of the circuit is at dead stop and WOT. Have fun, be safe and keep an eye on the kiddos...... |

I like Deka batteries myself, for they're cheaper than Trojans and just as good. I was told by just about every retailer that in the 1980s, Trojan did have the best battery out there. But nowadays, everyone is doing the same thing they are. Trojan still thinks their batteries are better because of the higher cost, but any other comparable battery is just as good.

In my oppenion the NAPA 8144 is the best bat on the market DEka is a good bat also trojan are good but expensive because they are oem( remember oem is not alwayse best)
