What is this lever for?
I have a 1990 Marathon and do not know what this lever on top of the differential is for. Any answer would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: What is this lever for?
Off hand I would say that is your foward/reverse lever. That means you should have a 4 stroke engine.

Re: What is this lever for?
That is the governor. It is also a 2 stroke rear axle. There is no forward or reverse gear....only which ever way the engine happens to be running at the time.
The rod with the 2 ball type joints connected to the carb at one time. |

Re: What is this lever for?
Whatever you want.
I'm not sure if you know this but you will lose reverse.... The original engine that went with that rear end ran backwards for reverse and forwards for forward. |
