Default 36volt to 48volt conversion questions

Is the conversion from 36v to 48v difficult? Other than more batteries what else is required? Is this a good upgrade or a waste of money?

My cart has a jakes 6" lift with 22" tires. It also has upgraded Alltrax 400Amp Controller, upgraded heavy duty solenoid, and 2awg battery cables. It has pretty good torque and speed. Is this setup good for the conversion or do I need something different?

You're probably good the way it is and now you need 48v worth of batteries (2 more 6v or 6 new 8v).
You can short wire the 36v HD solenoid to 36v or 40v without any trouble.
You also need a way to charge 48v.
The correct way is with a 48v charger, the redneck solution is use the 36v charger you have and charge the last 12v with a 12v charger.
Your net result will be about 30% more speed and torque than you had before.
