Default Transplant compleat..unsatisfied

Used a Stretch kit (front and rear) Honda 24HP,Comet 1190 clutch,36 degree EZGO driven (spring in #1 hole) belt alignment is the problem as I see it with the engine off the belt alignment is straight HOWEVER when I start and run the cart...especially at high speed the belt looks to be approximatly 3/4" out of line and makes a scuffing sound that I'm sure is gonna result in rapid belt wear..anyone else out there had this problem?..looks to me like I'm going to have to fab new motor mounts and move the engine toward the drive clutch side as it seems to me it's more important to have the alignment correct when the cart is running than when its stopped and sitting still...anybody?

Thats what we thought building another cart beside it (sons) it has a CPP cradle and guess what? the belt runs true..took a short vid of mine (Stretch) cradle not sure it is clear enough..a second look indicates that the motor is possibly at a slight angle from the drive clutch...NO ADJUSTMENT..back to my original plan fab new properly aligned motor mounts...trying to load the vid ..will send later is we are sucessful

May not be bad, is the angle such that if the motor mounts flex the clutch will pull into alignment?

No the angle unfortunatly is the wrong way and the motor and mounts are bolted with 7/16 NF welded studs and nylon lock nuts not a lot of flex there

Bill your drive clutch looks to far in on the shaft. On my clutch I have about 1 1/2" from the inside flange to the block.

That is probably the problem I bet yours is on a straight 1 1/8"keyed shaft..my set up is using the 1-10 taper so I can't move or shim the clutch only option I think is to relocate the motor
