Default Ignition switch fir B/S 20 hp

My G9 has a micro that's activated by the F/N/R, I'm guessing for the back up alarm. Is it possible to use this as an ignition lockout unless in neutral? For safety reasons......

Yes it's for the back up buzzer. If your drive belt has the "slack" needed for an "idling car", you won't need it. Just my 2 cents worth. Where's the picture's? Later Dave

Not much to take pics of yet, still in the planning phases..... Have motor and clutch, planning cradle drop, wiring, exhaust, cable extensions. Bought a used rhino steering wheel and put in on, looks good!!!!!!

i never had much luck with starting and idling in neutral, now i'm talking about ez go's. if i start the cart in neutral the clutches will want to free wheel even with a loose belt and low idle speed so it will drop hard into gear.

That does make sense, sorta like a stall converter! I was thinking mostly for safety. You cant start a car in gear so you have to "think" about what gear to shift into. The back up alarm not's gonna be heard too well when I get done with this.

Flint, The yammy's go into gear better than Ez Go or Club Car with a BB. Wiring a neutral switch is very easy...

Flint, You run the wire going from the start terminal of the ignition switch to a micro switch on the shifter, then to the small terminal on the starter solenoid.
