Uni filters go up to 2.5" if I recall. http://unifilter.com
No fuel should get into your air intake assembly so fuel wouldn't matter

There is little room in there. I used the stock filter box with the overhead paper filter. Took the top off and cut a piece of cheap plastic sink drain tube to fit inside it, then was able to cut a 90 from the stock G9 hose to clamp on it, then you can run a pvc pipe to the stock airbox, 1.25-1.5 diameter I forget what fits. However the stock airbox may not flow enough so I put a aitbox on out of a car. Later I put a new CV carb on and made an intake out of a brass sink drain to put the carb in front of the engine and do away with the space issues by the rear shock there, and all the dirt. So far working great I have to get the rod and cam in for this summer. You can find all that stuff here someplace in my build thread: There is a few airbox setups in there the green cart is another clone I put in we made a custom box for the carb but I don't really like it. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/clone...-clone-bb.html
