Default Grandkids and your cart

I just finished a 48v C54 upgrade and am already thinking about the grandkids jumping on it. When it was stock I didn't have much luck keeping them from flipping donuts etc., so I'm just thinking ahead. Here's a couple questions for those in the know.
1. Is there a way to tone down the power when they are here?
2. Is the center of gravity on a cart with a 6" lift and 23" tires still low enough to prevent it from flipping over on flat ground (gravel) if they do try a donut?
3. What harm will it actually do when they leave the key in the on position overnight?

Thanks

This sounds like it is what I need. It unit plugs right onto the controller, no additional equipment or cables to buy, and the Alltrax toolkit is available as a download?

Can anyone help with my other 2 questions (above?)

This unit plugs right in. There is nothing else to buy.

The Alltrax software requires a laptop with a windows operating system connected to the cart with a USB1 to usb2 cable.
Computer experience downloading and installing a program is needed.

For your SR controller we can make the switch select between 2 modes only not 3.

Alltrax Toolkit Download & Manual
http://www.alltraxinc.com/Products_XCT.html
http://www.alltraxinc.com/files/Doc1...kit-Manual.pdf
Please note that after any change in the controller is made the SET tab must be clicked. The SET tab will turn from gray to blue. Wait until the tab turns back to gray before leaving the page. This process must be repeated for each page you make changes on.
To be sure the changes you set took, close the program, unplug the usb cable, replug the usb cable, and reopen the toolkit. Check to see the changes you made are now in the settings. Close the program and disconnect the usb cable at the controller.
Always disconnect the usb communication cable at the Alltrax controller end first. In the event that the usb cable is disconnected from the laptop first and then dropped into the battery pack, the controller can be irreversibly damaged. Such damage is not covered under any warranty.

I think I'll just make sure grandma goes with him, that ought slow him down.

And what if the key switch is left on? I ask because my neighbor was over and drove it... Sure enough it was left on, but just for a half hour or so. Is there really any damage that could result for longer periods? That might be a reason to have that battery meter wired to the switch, or maybe just a light to draw attention to it. Or maybe I just worry to much

i never turn my key off unless there are kids around, then i remove the key
in 5 years i've owned the cart it has been turned off maybe 3 times
i also don't have any accessories to drain the batteries like a 48-12 converter

This user has a different drive system.
You should turn your cart off when not in use.

We have gotten in the habit to always turn the key off if you leave the cart. We have a couple of dogs that like to ride and have seen them stomp the go pedal before.

Yes, the neighbors old dog got in his cart and sat on the go pedal. The cart went through the other neighbors fence and he blamed the dog
Cart was left on & in gear. The accident was completely avoidable.
