Default 2017 rxv issue

Picked up a 17 rxv real cheap that had no controller and no batteries. So i figured I'd throw a navitas controller in it and some fresh batteries, and build myself a nice lil street rig. Got the navitas installed and ends up the solenoid is bad. Had a cheap one lying around so I threw that in. It went throught what sounded like the startup procedure. But then threw the motor temp fault.
Motor brake won't unlock either, even when jumping the plugs under the controller cover.
At that point I'm stumped and can't seem to find much info out there regarding this.
Any ideas? I do have the troubleshooting manual je..I mean usgicollecter..sent me a while back on another one a was tinkering with.

Navitas isnt the original setup, so take that into consideration. It doesnt exactly match the behavior of the stock controller (maybe including diagnostics). dont have a ton of experience with the green box, sorry I cant offer more help.

The later model RXV motor temperature sensor has a different value than the one the Navitas was designed for. They may have an update for that by now, at least I hope they do.
