Question Another "Ike" casuality question ???

I have now replaced the selunoid, key switch, lights including switch and ran new wiring where old was corroded.
I then charged batteries overnIght and needle on Club Car charger is now on 8.
The headlights and brake lights all work but when I turn the key on nothing happens.
The battery lights on dash is blinking on , then off, then on again for a longer time then off.
I did notice(which I did not replace) that the old selunoid had a large fuse joining the main terminals together and a smaller fuse joing the small posts together.
Any ideas ?????..........

Thanks for the recomendation...I have looked at the wiring diagram and do not see these items.
The more I think about it these are the "fuse" like items I did not re-install when I changed the selunoid ?
The first is larger and is in "shrinkwrap" with terminal eyes on each end that connects to both the main post on selunoid and the other looks to be the same thing but small and connects to the smaller post.
The new selunoid looked like it had a small one built on the smaller post from factory ?
They look very corroded and should be changed anyway.
Is this a Radio Shack item or need to be purchased OEM ?

Update:
It appears that the new solenoid already has a built in diode so I guess I need to install a resistor ?
Here is a pic of the solenoid I just purchased:

Livin,

You really need to plan on replacing every inch of wire that was submerged.. The OEM harnesses are not sealed at the ends.. Once submerged, salt water will wick along the stranded wire and cause corrosion and increased resistance.. I've messed with enough boats that were sunk in salt water to know how destructive it is to the electrical systems.. The cart's wiring will work for a year or so before you start having all sorts of intermittent electrical issues..

Good Luck...

OK...here is where I am at:

-replaced solunoid
-tested batteries after charging(all 8.0 - 8-2.
-tested total volts(42)
-replaced ignition switch with boat style
-deleted reverse buzzer and put wire nuts onto the end of each wire.
-verified all head and tail lights work and are bright.
-ran a wire from selunoid(yellow wire) to negative post on #6 battery.

Cart still does not move.
No clicking or anything.
I have determined there is no power at wires leading to key switch.
Any ideas ???

The green wire at the key switch goes directly to the B+ terminal on the solenoid.. I'd start by checking for continuity between each end.. More than likely the salt water corrosion is beginning to take it's toll on the small gauge control wiring..

John, Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate your true understanding of saltwater and it's effect.
When you say b+ .....is this the smaller + side on solenoid ?
I inspected my OBC and I see rust leaking down frame from it....Should I just move forward and invest in another ?
Also I have seen 2 post's that mention either jumping a wire from small post with yellow wire to the positive of #6 battery and the other says negative on #6 battery....Which one is it ?
Thanks again.........
