36volt swap to 48volt
So I have a lifted cart/buggie that I recently replaced the motor due to the lack of torque on hills to an upgraded 36-48volt high torque motor I bought offline. With the new motor it does better on hills but still not exactly as much as I would like. When I bought the cart it already had a 36-48 volt 400 amp AXE controller in it. My question is, if I replace the batteries to 8 volt batteries and change to a 36-48volt solenoid will that be all I need to replace to convert it to a 48volt system? I know I would need a 48v charger. I already upgraded the wires to the motor and on the batteries. This is my first cart and my first thread. I am learning a lot about them and still have much more to learn. thanks for any advise.

Re: 36volt swap to 48volt
Yes, 6 8V batteries and 48V solenoid since you already have the 48V controller and motor. The increase in voltage should net you a good increase in speed and slight increase in torque. FYI, when purchasing your new 48V charger, consider the DPI Accusense. You won't regret it. Keep us updated!

Re: 36volt swap to 48volt
BTW, I know your question was general in nature, but we have a subsection related all to your EZ GO. Those guys could help you out with any specifics.
