Re: 2008 Precedent Build The Street Machine
1970buick,
Got a good start keep spending money... Here is the company that I used for seat covers a girl where I work found them. Will make anything you want. Guys name is Curt. They are located in Florida. I called and talked with Curt, told him what I wanted, he made them and sent me the picture below before shipping to make sure they were what I wanted. Total for front and back was $164.00 with free shipping. Very happy with them. I called with a couple questions about installing them and he didnt mind helping. Even gave me a trick he uses when installing. Can look at covers and tell they are quality made. Below are some pictures of my cart before and after. The red cart is the girl I work withs, Curt did her covers also. http://www.par5customs.com/index.html |

Re: 2008 Precedent Build The Street Machine
Spent 3 hours tonight sanding down the front fascia for paint. Started with 100 to knock down the "pig skin" texture. Then went 220 and 320. Should be 70 here this weekend so I can hit it with filler primer then sand again and maybe paint. Fascia will match hood and rest of cart. Not sure if I want to paint the side skirts and rear or use bedliner on them to match the top and coolers.

Re: 2008 Precedent Build The Street Machine
Started on fabricating the headliner last night. It is going to hold 4 speakers and some led lights. This is going to be difficult but thanks to the help from Offtwice I am on my way. I did find it very easy to remove the "tabs" from the underside of the roof with a box cutter. I scored them pretty deep at the base then bent them back and they snapped right off. With a little more trimming with the box cutter and they were good to go.

Re: 2008 Precedent Build The Street Machine
I have the paint for the hood sanded for the last time before the clearcoat. I still have the back half and a few trim pieces to do. The color is subtle but looks really good when the sun hits it.
