I would use chromoly, if you use 1 1/2 you can get .065, .058 or .049. Its strong and lighter then mild steel or DOM.
Thats what we use for chassis cars and roll cages from 13 sec's to 6 sec's. I just used alum. ridged conduit because mine is not tied to the frame.

We will probably opt for mild steel even though the weight savings of the chrome moly would be nice, the price is not.

erw is what i used. i just looked it up for boke. erw is almost half the price of dom.

I completely agree smallblock. What ever terry does is going to be the coolest thing done yet like everything else. I can wait to see the pics. Bad part is, its going to make me jealous
