Re: New Build 2005 EZGO
Monkeys right, If I could do it again, I would have probably only took off 1/2in. Now I need to build a limiting strap so they don't pull apart if I over inflate the shocks.

Re: New Build 2005 EZGO
Is it a must to get the air shocks when you lower the cart? Or could you use the stock shocks after moving the shock mounts down on the axle?

No, but the air shocks keep you from rubbing the front cowl when the cart is loaded. Yes, but it would be alot less work to just get shorter shocks from Monroe, no need to relocate the shock mounts. |

So, what it sounds like is, you have moved the shock mounts down because you have air shocks. When the air shocks are filled you need all the extra travel out of moving the mounts. Does this sound right or am I confused? Do they make shocks shorter than this that are not air shocks? I would like to do a lowered EZGO, but like to collect all my info and know before I start tearing into it. Thanks for the help. |

http://www.monroe.com/catalog/docume...engthSheet.pdf If you lower the rear with stock shocks you will only have about an inch of travel before they bottom out. |

Re: New Build 2005 EZGO
These are the shortest Monroe shocks I could find that would fit our carts.
Part number > 555001 S4 S4 7.875 11.875c 4.000 Yes Two P1134 Stock compressed length 9", can someone confirm? |
