A couple of updated pics. We took the body off to rust reform the frame. It's actually pretty solid. Obviously, the priming process has started as well.

It's getting there. In the first pic you can see the lever that operates both the acceleration and the brakes. When you pull back on the lever a copper runner runs over a potentiometer for 3 speeds (pic 2).

Via a simple cable, the lever is connected to fulcrum that rotates a bar between the back wheels. When this bar rotates it actuates the drum brakes on each wheel (pic 3). I installed new pillow bearings and turnbuckle adjusters while I was there.

Paint going on. 1956 Ford Pastel Blue. We want to keep an era appropriate look. The '56 Ford Blue was used from '56 - '64.
