Default 1993 Club Car Issue

My 1993 Gas Club Car is having issues that just started... it will run good then seems like it is starving for gas... cuts in and out and sounds like chitty chitty bang bang.... later it will run fine for a block... then more starving for gas...

so far we have drained the gas and put in new gas... new fuel filter... new air filter... new spark plug... pulled the carb and clean it (3 times)...

I am ready to move into the ignition and micro switches...

any ideas as to what is wrong? if it is ignition and/or micro-switches, any recommendations on where to buy them?

thanks for your time

I have kinda gone thru the same issues with my 93 gasser. You can read my post here a few weeks back. I went thru and replaced the fuel system parts..no help. I just replaced the coil and igniter...no help. I finally removed the ground wire from the rev limiter and so far for a week now have had no further issues. Just have to be careful as it will not cut out when reaching the set RPM's. But when I look back everytime mine died on me it was just like trying to go too fast and the rev limiter saying no. Give it a try first before replacing the ignition parts and see if it helps. Unfortunately the price on the rev limiter is over $100 so it may not get replaced for me. Good luck and let us know what you find....

lift the seat off and it's right on the front of the engine near the bottom..easier to do with the rear body removed but can be done otherwise...all that needs to be done is remove the ground wire..10mm bolt then make sure the ground doesnt touch anything..

just be aware your RPM's are not limited with the ground removed...could be hazardous to the health of your engine....
