PowerWise QE model 917-3610 flashing 6 red
Working on a friends cart, after replacing and cleaning some corroded connections, go to plug in the charger and only getting 6 red flashes. This happens with power or no power plugged in but with the cart hooked up. Opened it up and both fuses check good.
Power supply side is out-putting around 169 volts which seems a little crazy to me. Nothing visibly burnt or broke. Owner was messing with wiring and hot side of charger had corroded in two so possibly touched something it shouldn't have.. Charger is a 36v PowerWise QE 917-3610, one of the new style gray wave chargers. Any place that repairs these at a reasonable price? Found one quick link for $212 to refurb. With what I've read of these breaking, somebody has to know where to send for repair. Thanks, dave |

Can't help with the repair, Cg tech has a nice pic of a pile of those chargers, maybe a call to ScottyB for a DPI charger may work out better.

Fsip can rebuild them, but why? Charger is junk, and will break down again. Get a DPI. I personally wouldnt put $10 into repairing a QE.

Pretty much what I have heard. My friend bought a used charger from local dealer for around $200. Prob for the best it seems.

QE, or DPI? I am assuming the "high frequency" qe. Thats good info...
