How can I make my 2004 club car go faster
Hi,
I'm new to golf cart world. How can I find out what is the speed setting on my golf cart and is there a way to increase the speed without spending alot of money. |

Welcome to BGW!
You can take it to any CC Dealer and they can check the speed setting. Code 4 will get you 19.6 mph, which is the fastest it will go stock. |

Hi Jakesnake,
It's 2004 DS club car model, 48 v with new trojan battery, it's the typical 10 wheel - . As you can tell, I'm really new to golf cart world. How can I tell what drive system in the golf cart? Purchased it this past weekend for my son. Golf cart is a mean of transportation for kids in my neighborhood. Thanks, |

If it has a Run/Tow switch under the seat, it's an IQ with Regen braking. Also the FR switch will be a rocker switch. If it's a series, no run/tow switch and the FR will be a knob.

Just checked - no switch - so i guess it's a series cart....is that a bad thing?

Oh, and I think speed setting is set at 3 - it goes up to 15
