Default Sluggish DS

Got the DS back on all 4's! Took it for a spin and it seems kind of sluggish... Is this normal for these old KF82 engines? It doesn't begin to come off idle until the pedal is about an inch from the floor...?

Anyone know if maybe my throttle cable is not positioned right?

You may need a throttle cable adjustment. Mine works well and I can post pictures of it. I had my lifted KF82 cart up to 21mph yesterday. Also check this thread, maybe you can lengthen the accelerator rod, but don't adjust it out too far, or your park brake may not work correctly. I posted a pic of the accelerator rod in post #39.

Just ignore the stuff about the zip ties on the springs, our governors don't work that way. In order to adjust governors on KF82 carts you don't need zip ties, it's much easier (see my post #45).

So do I need to just "choke up" on that cable? I'm not wanting to open it full. My kids will be using this cart and I don't want them to smoke the motor... Just need a bit better throttle response... Sorry for all the questions. Club Cars are new to me
