Re: Distance driven on a 48 V pac
I'd never let my pack get that low.

Re: Distance driven on a 48 V pac
To many variables to give you a set time. Every time you take your cart out it will be a different time. Plus as Yurtle said it is not a good ideal to let your pack get that low.

Re: Distance driven on a 48 V pac
What I can do is drive around around the four subdivisions tomorrow and report back the total distance, and before and after voltages. But that may not tell you much, as we have a fair amount of hills. Also, my buggy has 8, 6 volt T-105s that are only 8 months old, I have a 4855 and an AMD 36-volt (6.1-hp@5330 rpm) HIGH SPEED series motor, with stock rear-end and stock tires. I don't have regen, so I can freewheel downhill to coast partway uphill. Regen doesn't make sense for my driving conditions. Even if you don't have regen, I believe some buggies limit max speed downhill, if no throttle is applied.
Variables include: 8, 6 volt batteries vs. 6, 8 volt batteries cable size motor type; sepex vs. series controller amps age/condition of batteries tire diameter rear-end gear ratio hills stop and start vs. freewheeling through the downhills letting the batteries rest occasionally vs. driving non-stop ??? Why are you asking this? That may help us answer you better. |

Re: Distance driven on a 48 V pac
I have driven my lifted cart that is converted to 48 volts about 16 miles in some fairly hilly terrain but on pavement and never got close to 50% discharge.

Re: Distance driven on a 48 V pac
Just wanted to know what the distance capabilities are, using it on a large property, I don't want to get stuck.
Also looking at club cars to see if they are about the same, on club cars with 6x8 I found those are getting about 35-40. |

Re: Distance driven on a 48 V pac
If you're looking for info for an upcoming purchase, then you need to say so. Any info I give you is meaningless, as my buggy is FAR from stock.
