Re: 04 Precedent wiring question
If the wires are layn up there under the dash they are going to be 12v if you hook up lights, some precedents came with factory light wiring harness.

Re: 04 Precedent wiring question
thanks for the response, the cart has a connector for the lights but also these 2 wires are hanging around ready to be hooked to something - probably a battery meter

Re: 04 Precedent wiring question
The wiring diagram I got shows a black/yellow, a green/red, a yellow/black, and a red/green going thru a 9 pin connector, and becomming a black, green, yellow, and red, then going to the "IQDM" port, which is (as I understand it) something the dealer uses to diagnose the car. The other end of those wires goes to the controller at the right front of the controller - the 4 pin connector.
Have fun ! Dave |

Re: 04 Precedent wiring question
If the two wires you are referring to are behind the dash and to the left under the steering wheel....read on. Recently hooked up these two wires to a state of charge meter on my 06 Precedent. Works perfectly! Stays on all the time until you put your tow/run switch into the "tow" position, at which time it goes off

Re: 04 Precedent wiring question
State of charge meter? Where would one get one of these? I'd like to hook one up on my 2004 precedent.

Re: 04 Precedent wiring question
Check site sponsors. Most have analog type for $18-$22 and LED for $30-$35. Look to find them under "battery accessories" or "meters".

Re: 04 Precedent wiring question
Garysmith is absolutly right. I just checked the voltage on those two wires and got 50v with the tow switch on run. I just ordered a state of charge meter, thanks for the advice.
