cc turning over
i got the moter out and the link rod was broke so i got it all put back togather and it wont turn all the way over if i could plz get some advice i need it

did you line up the cam shaft a nd the crank correctly? they have the dots on them. if they are off it will open the valves while the piston is going up, and nothing moves. or locks up. by the link rod i think form a previus post we cam to the conclusion that you are talking about the connecting rod, or the rod from the piston to the crank shaft. im also oping you used a prelube on all bearing material before you actually tried to turn over. this will prevent bearing locking up or spinning on you, pinning the crank and connecting rods. good little investmnet!

red neck, do you have a manual for this engine? if you dont it would be highly recomended! there is a downloadable/savable verision on here, that you can even print off. it has the step by step for a overhaul of the motor, or tear down, inspection and replacement procedures. also has the proper torque specs, not the standard germna torque spec of "good and tight"! if you cant find it i have a copy that i can pm or post here for you. it will help you alot!
