7 miles round trip to the golf course. Then maybe another 7 miles or so to play. So looking near 15 miles normally. But could see us having dinner up there and playing a couple more holes, so maybe 20 miles at the most before we get home.

Is that pushing the limits of a Electric Cart?

We used a new Quietec Yamaha gas cart today and it was OK. Still noisy and smells exhaust to me though. Im thinking I would like electric better, but don't want to have to stress if the battery will go dead on me. Especially after a couple years and batteries don't work as well.

I think I like Yamaha as it seems roomier and I'm 6'6". I see a lot of members have the electric Yamahas, but I've always thought they were know for gas?

Keep the suggestions/comments coming. I REALLY APPRRECIATE your knowledge
I live in a golf community and it is not uncommon for people to drive the distance you are talking about and do a round of golf. Do the math to figure if a cart is worth it. Take the price of the cart and then divide it by the savings per round. Let's say 4k for a cart and you save $5 a round. Only 800 rounds of golf to break even and that doesn't include the cost for batteries every 3 to 5 year. I would say if it is strictly for golf, it's probably not cost effective, but play with the numbers and see what they say.

As I said, I live in golf community (Peachtree City, GA) and we have 100 miles of cart paths. My cart is like a spare car and we use it all the time.

Gasser IMO. Batteries are killer on the wallet

Club Car Electric carts are supposed to have a range of around 50 miles on a full charge, assuming the terrain is relatively flat.
Better quality batteries will increase that range, and if properly cared for you should be able to get 7-10 years of service from a set of good quality batteries.
