Loss Of Power
My E-z-go 2002 36 Volt Looses Power Not Long After A Full Charge. I Checked The Battery Voltage And They Show 6 Volts. Any Ideas?

Re: Loss Of Power
What is the voltage all the way across the pack....taken at the charge recepticle plug or ? 6 volts is empty for a 6 volt battery hence 36v would be an empty pack ready for a recharge

Re: Loss Of Power
I Checked The Voltage At The Plug-in It Reads 36.5 Volts. Does This Tell Me The Pack Is Charged Or Needes To Be Charged?

Re: Loss Of Power
Needs to be charged. 36 volts is considered dead. How old are your batteries? When is the last time you maintained the batteries?

Re: Loss Of Power
Needs to be charged.. A fully charged 36V pack will read between 40 and 42 volts..

Quote:
36 volts is 80% of capacity. If you regularly run the batteries below 80% of capacity damage can and will result. Each cell produces around 2.10 - 2.13 volts per cell......some marketing guy at some point in history decided to call it 2 volts per cell.....the rest is confusion. |

Re: Loss Of Power
What are you charging your batteries with? Have you checked the voltage after a charge? Check 30 minutes after the charger shuts off. And report that voltage to us.
