Re: 94 Ezgo, 350es Honda ATV Conversion
I would be willing to buy some 300's with a bad rear end if he would want to sell any of them or has parts to sell , could use a front differential and an engine ---------- the ATC250ES and the TRX350A or D also has basically the same rear end as the TRX250A , they all can be modified with some welding to fit right in the 300's from 88-2000

Re: 94 Ezgo, 350es Honda ATV Conversion
Well it finally happen,... broke my axle
I could buy new axle bearings seals and hubs but I feel i'd be right back with the same problem. So I've had a hard-on about installing a independent rear suspension(IRS) for a while now. I bought a wrecked Rhino 660 for the IRS but ending up trading for the G14. I acquired a honda 420 IRS and was about to do the swap when my oldest blew his rear in his 420. So back to the drawing board on a rear dif. May have a rear from a Polaris,.... fingers crossed. |

Re: 94 Ezgo, 350es Honda ATV Conversion
Yeap,... maybe a video.
Those 32" rear dif exploders just wasn't going to work. Those things are heavy. The tires on it now are 28.5 mud-zillas on Honda aluminum IRS rims. They are light. I don't like them at low speeds, cart shakes. So i successfully married a 2006 Yamaha Rhino 660 rear to my 94 Ezgo Marathon. I also cut the front suspension and installed it in the cart. Took the EzGo steering out, took pinion and gear out and replaced with a Club Cart steering shaft. Tied that to the Rhino rack and pinion. Steering is very tight. I'll take some more pictures because i have a pile of things left to do. More things I did so for: * cut center console out, made smaller * recovered seats, * cut bag well down for rear suspension install * built new front bumper * new ditch lights * installed Yamaha master cylinder and brake system( front and rear disc ) * Oh the BIG one, new design on my electric shifter. * New rear axles * Raised step on flip seat, (to clear reciever hitch) ToDo List: * Finish console * Tune shocks, very smooth with 4 wheel independent * Lot of wiring * May paint, undecided * Find a way to remove plasta coat paint on rims * Few more lights * And i'm sure a lot more |

Re: 94 Ezgo, 350es Honda ATV Conversion
Few months of sea trials on this,... Four wheel independent is the way to go. I'm having an electrical problem with the shifter, but that is understandable. If I would show you under seat. I will figure it out.
I redesigned the shifter with duel springs, two brake switches and a golf ball. Got clocked at 40 mph other night. Been stuck three times. First time I remembered a to-do list on wall in shop. (finish wiring of winch) Marked that one off pretty quick. I can't wait to make this thing 4x4. |
