Default Reverse Only

If this has already been answered somewhere else, please point me there. My TXT was running great for 2 test runs and now it will only go in reverse. When I put it in forward and press the pedal everything seems to engage correctly but it never moves forward. I put it in reverse and it's fine. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Year would help but sounds like a broken shift cable. Look at the front center of the transaxle and see what happens when you move the lever

The cart started life as '06 TXT. I replaced the shift cable a few months ago. When I move the lever I can see the cable move.

The cable probably just needs adjusting to fully engage in both directions. Try shifting the lever on the transaxle by hand. If that works better, adjust the cable. I have also known the nut that holds that lever in place to come loose and cause the same symptom.

I adjusted the cable and seems like it's going to be the problem. I just need to find the sweet spot. Thanks again for the suggestion.
