Re: Old club car remodel
That's the flathead KF82 motor, so its no newer than 91. Going by the body style, I would say it's either 90 or 91 year, but I'm no expert on theose, and it's possible the body was swapped. Either way, You'll be looking for parts for a Pre 91 cart.
And yes, someone straight piped it, so it's gonna be mighty loud. I don't think you'll find an exact replacement muffler for one of those (unless you win the lotto). But if you poke around enough you might find one that can be welded to the existing pipes. |

Re: Old club car remodel
That is the kf82 “flathead” motor. On those, the muffler should be under the rear bumper, mounted horizontally. It’s very very common for those mufflers to rust out and become very loud.
You can buy a walker 22229, cut off the oem muffler and weld in the walker. It should help considerably. The walker mufflers are about 30 bucks. |

Re: Old club car remodel
This was an old carryall I used to have, but you can see the muffler in the back there. DS should be approximately the same place iirc.

Re: Old club car remodel
Thank you guys for the information! i am under the impression the double take spartan body will fit these carts, but i notice some sights have different options for them. Does anyone here know if this body will fit this cart?

Re: Old club car remodel
Some of the EARLY DS’s had a different body like the caroche. But that’s like 19880 and 1981. From about 1982 or 83(??? Someone can correct me if they know for sure) until the DS was discontinued in 2011 or 2014 or whenever it was, the bodies are all interchangeable. Someone has swapped the body on it for a newer one already. The older body has different curves on the front cowl. Yours has a “dip” in the middle between where the headlights go. This carryall was a 1991 also, it’s straight across between the headlights as you can see. (Right in front of the club car sticker/badge)
I don’t know if any reason the aftermarket bodies would conflict |

Re: Old club car remodel
i ordered the muffler you suggested, thank you! im in the process of talking to different places about bodies and the difference in the light kits. I want to make sure we get the LED with the street legal kit. Some places word it different for the light kit just trying to make sure what i am getting. He is pretty excited because the motor runs excellent but the body of the cart is lacking. Should be a nice ride with body, windshield, and wheels!
