I think Bruce used to tell people that using the CV Tech was like "adding 5hp". I've never used one, 780 seems to fit more applications because it's smaller. Seems maybe the smaller size gives up some speed and performance?

So after doing some digging on here I found a really old post from like 9 years ago & the do state using the CV over the 780 there is a difference of 1/2" between the two. That would explain my issue with speed lost.

That's what I thought.

Thats why people used the 1190 for a while, when they can be found, its larger.

I found another CV used but looks to be in phenomenal condition for $180 shipped. I didn't think that was a bad deal, i think mine is ok but id like to put a new one on my cart and somehow figure out how to take the old one part and change the weights/springs out to get the RPM engagement down more to match the 780 style.

My CV even from brand new always had much higher engagement VS the 780 that just literally takes off when I barely touch the gas. the cart doesn't shake during acceleration anymore.

Do they even make an 1190 with a 1" shaft?

Red Hawk or OEM EzGo for a new shifter cable? money isn't the issue but what is honestly better than the other?

OEM is typically better made. But for some parts aftermarket is just fine. I would think aftermarket cable is ok.

Red Hawk it is then, I am 99% sure this is why my Transaxle is hopping in and out of gear sometimes, my current cable is one of those cheap amazon cables to get my by and Its worked great for years so I never messed with it until now. It seems to only do it when the cable gets hot from what believe is the header .
