Toe in settings
What are you guys using for toe settings? My 2022 I40L has 3/4" toe in, LOL.

Re: Toe in settings
I have never seen a cart with any recommendation other than 1/8” -1/4”. I have come across plenty of LV Tony carts with poor alignment fairly early out of the gate. My area has thousands of these carts at vacation rental properties so it’s certainly possible the misaligned carts I’ve repaired have been due to poor driving, however.

Re: Toe in settings
update: set cart to 1/8" toe in. Driving is much improved, especially low speed turning scrub, and surprisingly (not!) tire noise is way down.
Actually, excessive tire noise from the front is what caused me to check alignment in the first place. Btw, the crazy initial toe setting was "as delivered new" |

Thanks for this post, was having a similar issue with the tire feeling out of round (RHOX RoadHawk). The front right tire seemed out of round so swapped it to the rear, still didn't go away. Checked the alignment and it was out 1". Put it to 1/8" and rides a lot better now. |

Re: Toe in settings
How do you check for the alignment, is that something the golf cart dealer does or you go to a tire shop?

Re: Toe in settings
It's easier to do with two people, but you can do it by yourself. Park on level ground, set wheels straight ahead and grab a tape measure. You want to measure across your wheels at the height of your axle, front and back. If you have good tread, you can hook your tape in the groove and pull it across to the same groove on the other wheel. Use the same set of grooves on the back of the wheel and compare your readings. You should be 1/8" to 1/4" narrower on the front side reading. Some will argue that 1/4" is too much and that 1/8" is perfect. On dirt and grass it probably won't matter, but if you drive on pavement a lot, try it both ways and see what's better for you.

Re: Toe in settings
use sticks, you dont have to do what this guy did but the general idea is helpful. Measuring by yourself and trying to get accurate down to 1/8th inch can be done with a lot of patience but people generally have wood or something they can use (rakes, shovels, etc.) to help create a good environment for measurement.
