Alltrax puts pack voltage on terminal
Need some help here guys.
When I use the tow run switch it cuts power to the alltrax unit as expected, and when on the unit light flashes then comes on. What isn't inspected is that when powered, the alltrax unit puts pack voltage on the B+ terminal of the unit. When measured to pack (-) it's full voltage. As such there is pack voltage on both sides of the contactor. Oddly enough the cart will lurch or jerk crawl if I disconnect that contactor entirely meaning it's pulling B+ from somewhere else like the harnass. Never enough to move but a few inches but never the less doesn't seem right. As long as everything is wired correctly and power can flow to the solenoid contacts it's fine, but if there is a condition in which power can't get the the solenoid coil it still get power from somewhere to do this jerk lurch thing. Dan Any thoughts? |
