Default lithiums in club carts

Hi all,
a newbie when it comes to lithium.

Correct if Im wrong, a club car that has regen charging MUST be turned off for a lithium conversion?

I've heard the high voltage it puts back into the batteries can damage lithium.

And is there any other program setting that should be modified when doing a lithium conversion?

Lastly, can an RXV be converted without re programming the controllers?

Many thanks in advance.

Cheers
Paul

I run Regen on my Yamaha with Alltrax with no issues. Maybe it depends on what Lithium pack you go with but I would not go without Regen.

Regen is fine on Club Cars, it's the OBC that must be disabled.

I know this question was a couple months old, but here is an answer from Eco Battery Sales:

to me

Thomas,

It depends on how long of time. 350A for short bursts and 100A continuous

Thanks

With the 48V/72Ah battery in a Club Car DS, how much regen braking can be used without damaging the battery?"

I have my Alltrax set at 50 Amps because that is all the regen I need on the flatland rides. If you have hills, go to 100 amps.
