A little help 2008 YDRE
I bought a 2008 Yamaha golf cart. I ordered a lift kit and wheel/tires. I noticed the lift kit is for a G2/G4. Will this still work on my cart?
this is what I ordered: https://www.ebay.com/itm/23331953808...53.m2749.l2649 Also I would like to get more speed out of my cart. My cart is a 48volt with new 12 volt Trojan Batteries. I understand there is a software upgrade a Yamaha dealer can do. I don't know of a Yamaha dealer near I live in Tallahassee Fl. Can any/most golf cart repair place do the software update? Here is the seral number JW2-F4236-20 So what do I have? |

Re: A little help 2008 YDRE
Update: found a Yamaha dealer in Thomasville Ga (not too far away) that can do the VTS code for me. So next week I plan to take the cart up there

Re: A little help 2008 YDRE
Or go with an Alltrax controller, you can program / speed up by yourself!

I would invest the dealer money in an aftermarket controller like Alltrax. Then you can tune yourself and have a much more solid controller.

Re: A little help 2008 YDRE
Thanks but when buying aftermarket parts they refer to them as G2 G9 G23 ect. What is this as far as the Gs go?

Re: A little help 2008 YDRE
A 2008 YDRE is a G29 Drive.
Your G2 lift kit will not work on a G29. |
