I wonder if the body is a kit or fabricated bybsomeone.

More of a copy of a DS frame. Many of the parts are not interchangeable from what I see online, but I will update as I dig into it.

Thanks!

So, this leads into the next update. The body should begin fiberglass repairs this week. Aside from the busted section on the passenger front fender, most repairs are minimal. I will also be filling the roof holes.

The seats are about to go off to upholstery and so I am looking at other interior mods. I've been thinking about the steering wheel quite a bit as I am not a fan of the cheap plastic wheels that I install in most customer carts. But they are cost effective so people jump on them. However, in my head all I can think of is a retro "banjo" steering wheel like you'd see in a lil' deuce coupe.

So, leave it to the folks at FST Forever Sharp steering wheels to come through. They have a hub available that will convert a standard 14" automotive steering wheel over to a golf cart hub.

Here is what I am thinking. I am very torn on the dark wood or the complete stainless.

I guess that would all depend on what other interior mods you do. If you are planning on other accents of the dark wood, that would be a great look.

But then again ... if the cart sits in the sun for a little while ... the all stainless could get awful hot to touch.

What is your color scheme you are thinking of? Body, seats, accents?

Is the body available in kit form? Any info would be appreciated. It's a beautiful ride - glad the new operator's going to pull the roof. It will look much better without it. Would you post some pictures of someone sitting in it so I can see how high up the windshield is in front of a person.

I agree with SWB, the dark wood looks awesome with "interior" accents to match!

The color scheme has been a debate. I think I will stick with red but something with a deeper candy effect. The wheels should be an off white. So, I'd like to carry a two tone leather brown/tan into the interior. With that said, the dark wood would look nice. And I went ahead and ordered the new banjo steering wheel.

It is a California Roadster. A cart custom made by ACG. They are not available as just a body. The chassis is longer than a standard cart.

And the top removal has happened. As is typically the case in some situations, she looks better topless.

More pics to come.
