I don't know anyone that has one yet but this doesn't sound good for Yamaha. If anyone has any detailed 'under the seat' pic's, I would like to see the setup.

Minus the rear end and clutches, it's identical to a G22, James.

2007 Yamaha Drive Review
I don't know where you got your information.. but "The Drive" is quite differant in many way's. The frame.. The sub floors (polycarbonet)..The clutches and lets not forget the Rack and pinion assy and the "Team" differential....The brake system may last for 100 years....But will the gears last ? In my experiance with "The Drive" I've only had 1 failed rear end (Electric model). I know of the "West coast" problem and hope all the cars we have put out this year will not have these problem. Remember you have a 4 year warranty on the drive train...Yamaha will cover it, and this happens everytime a new model is put out in the market.....I beleive....the problem will be fixed. Later Dave

Remember, I only was talking about the drive train because it's what James asked for.

He asked for pics of the engine compartment/drive train. I believe I was correct in saying:

My opinion, Yamaha has always been the favorite of mine. Simply for the fact that they are built like tanks, easy to work on when you have to, and usually its something very minor. Also, they are very inexpensive and easy to mod. The clutch system is one of the best for power that I've seen in my opinion and the frame setup on the older models is excellent as far as stability goes when lifting one.

These rear end change outs have only been on electric Drives.
