Did you purchase the cheap carburetor ? or OEM ? and did you use the 295 carb or 350
If your battery voltage is 14.5 volts at wide open throttle then we can eliminate that but all you said it was good.
A weak coil will cause it to spit back also. Is this the original coil ?
Try another coil if you got one.
Make sure the throttle linkage is all set correct. You hear micro switch click and watch your carburetor linkage. It should start to open soon after you hear the click.

Not a cheap carb bought it from a dealer. I also bought a brand new coil from the dealer, same rests. The battery test at 14.4 when running and the battery is less than a year old.

The carb is a QAZAKY Carburetor for a 350cc
I've bought them for several different repairs I've done and they've all been great.
I tried the original carb that came with it.
My old 250cc carb just to see what happens and now this one, it runs exactly the same with all 3.

My Robin 295cc not 250cc. I was wondering, does the 295cc coil generate enough spark for the 350, my spark seems awful weak.

Ok I had someone try and tell me that if you throw a 350 in but use the 295 clutch you have to change the flywheel, does that sound right?

I'm so sick of working on this cart.
I've been trying to get my clutch off without removing the engine. There's a frame bracket in the way so I jacked up the cart seeing if the weight would pull it out of the way. It worked enough I could get a socket on my 3/4" bolt. I figure I'll stick a 3/8" rod 4.5" long inside the clutch hole then put the 3" long bolt in and it should just pop the clutch right off with my impact. That ******* went 2 3/4" into the whole and still didn't pop the clutch out. Where in the hell is the 4.5" rod going plus now the rod is stuck.

Sounds like the rod didn't have enough diameter to sit on the end of the crankshaft. You drove it into the threaded hole of the crankshaft. It's time to remove the engine.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I used the packing with grease method the last time and it worked like a charm. Hard to believe the stainless steel rod I used didn't work, I should have went thicker.

I finally got back to my cart this weekend. I took the timing cover off and the things set perfect, back to square one I guess.
