It's a 48v series drive system. Great platform...

Thanks. Picked it up for a good price last night. Question.... Will an Alltrax AXE4834 Motor Controller 300 Amp 24-48 Volt DC help speed it up a bit? Currently it does 8mph. looking for around 15mph. I will be putting new batteries in it soon, but leaving the stock size tires on it.

The controller will provide more amperage to the motor and will result in slightly more torque. If you want more speed you need to change out your motor to a high speed motor. Lately I've been using a lot of the Admiral MOT-A1 motors on series cars and it really wakes them up.

I have the same year and model cart was looking for more speed when I first got it. Ended up putting a plumquick bandit motor in it and brought it up to 20mph or so with everything else stock. Have since upgraded controller and upsized all the wires now running around 23-25

But, The Bandit works great on level ground, if you have any hills to climb you will really need more HP. Like the one David suggested.

Just starting out slow with this. I am even thinking about a stock 36v motor. Not looking for 20+ mph, 15 would be just fine for me. This cart will be a loaner cart for when we go camping and someone in my party does not have one. I might even just turn it for some quick cash and do it again. Time will tell.... I am new to club cars, but they don't seem too different from EZGOs of that time. Thanks for all of your input!!! It helps my thought process.
