LEO's through division orders are bad too - I ordered for my department and still have a 6-9 month delivery date for .223. Placed order in feb for 3000 so I still have some time to wait -

After reading tons of articles, I don't believe that! They are " supposed " to account for less than 10% of ammo acquirement. I do feel it's the greedy f- - - - rs that are causing the problem. They're investment buying to resell it higher! Well, when all this crap is over and the market on ammo crashes, there will be tons of folks out there that will have wished they didn't have tons of ammo they will have to eat!!!

I needed the ammo to take my CHL test. Got a 49/50 on the written and had a perfect score at the range thru the first two stages. When backed up to the furthest distance, about 50 feet, the instructor told me I had already passed and to have some fun and go for some head shots. I hit about half of them, which wasn't terrible so I felt pretty good about it.

It is bad here as well. Walmart has that new app out now that you can check inventory online so people know it is coming in before the clerks do in the AM. We also have the folk that are at WM every morning to try to buy up whatever comes in then take to the flea market to sell for 3 times as much. Problem is people are buying it at that price. Until that quits, it will continue.

I heard that you're not supposed to use commercial 308 in those Enfields. Do you know anything about that?

thats correct..if the ammo is low pressure cheap brass ammo they say its ok as long as the head space checks out ok,and you dont reload the cases.
the nato brass is thicker and when a gun says its for nato ammo its because they have allowed so much slop in the chamber for mud/dirt/water in the feild so the gun will always fire..this is what ive learned reading anyhow

i no that" fedral xm762d" iirc is factory 308 ammo on the box,but the brass cases are nato as they have the natox cross on the head..it shot it fine..
