what is this part called
I gps my cart this evening at 14.6 thinking it should go faster I started looking around and noticed a little round plastic piece that goes from the pedal to a black box on the frame. well u could press the pedal down as far as it would go and then move the plastic piece a little futher which gave me a top speed of 17.6. It looks a little wore what is this called or can I adjust it somehow. thanks

Re: what is this part called
NEED MORE INFO year, voltage, and model ( series F&R lever ) ( shunt rocker type F&R switch )?
Sounds like MCOR equipped cart that has unit under passenger side floor? They have linkage wear problems that can be repaired or jury rigged? If possible sending pictures would help alot, as maybe some one has already made some repairs? |

Re: what is this part called
I think it is a aluminum rod. It is under the floor, It hooks up to the petal and goes over to the black box. It is a about a foot long. Ill try to take a photo. As you press the pedal It turns this rod in the box.

Re: what is this part called
Sounds like mcor. there is no adjustment for these. You may have to use shims or fab something.Mine had play in the pedal and I used a piece of 3/8 copper tubing for a bushing to fix it.Sometimes you can bend the tabs on the gas pedal to fix it,but they can break easy so be careful trying that.

Re: what is this part called
here is a photo of the top of the rod. I think I can shim it like riverracer said. but I would like to replace it. If I knew what it was called. It is a 01 cc 48 volt 8 6v batt.

Re: what is this part called
Cut a piece of 3/8 copper tubing and tap it on there and it will take up the slack. That is how I fixed mine.

Re: what is this part called
There is an adjustment bolt there just below the floor. It has an elongated hole the bolt goes thru for adjustment. If you need a better description of location, let me know and I can snap a pic tomorrow.
