![]() I am looking at getting my first cart before we take a week long trip to disney. We are taking the popo up to Ft. Wilderness.
Does anyone know if you can use gas carts there? |

![]() I think tungpo1 is the best one to ask this. He has been there with his gas cart and pretty much knows every square inch of the fort. I have seen conflicting things and when we were there in December i did see gas carts even though the rules say electric only.

![]() The best thing you could do is call the campground and inquire about their rules concerning carts.. Most campgrounds have rules prohibiting gas carts for insurance/liability reasons..

I THINK they go faster and no recharge. But I am worried that places will say no gas carts allowed. Do you run into this much? |

![]() The only reason I have both a gasser & a sparky is that Texas state parks have varying rules concerning carts.. In order to use a cart in any Texas state park they must be a registered, street legal, LSV and carry liability insurance.. Individual parks are allowed to make rules as to whether electric only or electric & gas carts are allowed.. I take whichever cart is allowed in the parks we frequent..

![]() There are lots of the campgrounds that say they don't allow gas carts, mostly for noise reasons. however, a good many of them don't really hold to that rule as long as your cart is quite. You can find many threads about camp wilderness on this site along with pics of tungpo1 running his 24hp honda powered ezgo all over the place down there. Like I told you before, all state parks in my state have the no gas cart rule but.... some choose not to enforce that rule unless you have a loud cart which gets people complaining. most all newer gas carts are super quite, i've ridden people around on some of my carts and had them ask if the cart was gas or electric. If you can't even tell your tooling around on a gas cart there's not much for people to complain about. If your main use for a cart is campgrounds, then electric is probably a better choice. I've never seen a place that was gas carts only.
