Default Speed Control Coils (Interchangeable?)

Was looking for a cheap cart to use at our hunting land, in my hast to jump on what I figured was a good deal I bought a 1990 Hyundai 36V cart. Only to find that parts are scarce. I would be surprised if the cart will have over 20hrs of run time in a year, so I'm looking to keep my costs low. So my question is, on the older speed control carts are Yamaha or EZ-Go speed resistor coils compatible to my cart? I can not find any listed for use on a Hyundai. I don't have an issue replacing coils every so often if it means it will save me $ in the long run. Or what type/size of Curtis (or other manufacturer) speed controller would I need to upgrade to a solid state speed control assuming 3 large passengers...275A or 400A. I if you could recommend a controller model it would be greatly appreciated.

You don't seem to be getting much in response to your question, so I will take a stab at it.

My Club Car '03 uses resistor coils and I love it. Electronic controllers seem to be very delicate and more often have issues. Resistor coils are very robust and the only knock against them is while going less than full speed, they get hot. So it's best to not creep along at a slow pace with them.

Having said all that, you might be able to use another brand of coil on your cart if you are a handy type of person. By that I mean you may have to make some adjustments to the replacement coils to match your old ones. You will want the same number of loops for instance and the same gauge wire as the originals.
