Default DS Belt change

Is there any secrets to changing Belts. Thanks.

With the cart in neutral, pull the belt to one side so that when you turn the rear clutch by hand it rides up and off as the clutch 'wheel' turns.....

ive heard that method is bad for the belt but ive been doing it for awhile and it is very easy and i havent had any belt problems

remove the drive clutch then remove the belt

Thats how we DOO it on 200+ horse power sleds and alls good.

Well, if that makes you feel better then do it that way but I think a poll would show 99% of the guys rolling it off over the top so to speak. The correct belt should not be so tight as to be damaged by this.

no i do it that way too i just read on a few forums that it was bad but i dont beleive it

its so easy to just roll it off the clutch and put a new one on i can,t imagine what it would hurt..................................
