Auxiliary Battery
With my recent battery woes, I've decided that I would like to put a small auxiliary battery in the dash to run my headlights, under body led's , and radio. My plan is to use a scooter or wheelchair deep cycle battery. My question is what is the minimum or reccomended amp hours? Anyone have a good place to get one at a reasonable price?

Re: Auxiliary Battery
So I've been able to barter a new Group U1 deep cycle battery to run my accessories........ This is how I see it in my mind:
- Install the battery in the dash behind my console - Mount a 6 gang fuse block with ground - Connect my LED's, radio, driving lights, and horn to the fuse block - Hard wire a cigarette outlet to the battery I plan to cut the ring terminals off my 1.5 amp charger and attach a cigarette plug to charge the auxillary battery. Sound good? George |

Re: Auxiliary Battery
I use a Crown 12v 35ah handicap scooter battery for my auxillary battery and it is deep cycle gel battery so can be mounted in any position. I have a buddy who works for Crown and he picked it up for me for $50

Re: Auxiliary Battery
My cigarette lighter socket (to be used for charging)!came with an in-line fuse. Do I keep the fused line or do I go from the socket to battery with directly w/fuse?
