2005 Yamaha G22E project
I purchased a Yamaha G22E and plan on using it for hunting. It is a stock cart in great condition.
I purchased a Jakes' 6" spindle lift and 22X11X10 Swamp Fox tires with 10X8 3:5 wheels. I plan on lifting it immediately and then next year getting a high torque motor, new controller, 4 gauge cables, etc. I hunt in hilly terrain but for now will stay away from the steeper parts of the properties. I'll post some current pics along with pics during the first process and so on soon... I do have a couple of questions if you guys do not mind: 1. I noticed that the tires are not straight up and down in the front after the fact. The bottom sits a bit further out than the top. I'm not sure of the technical term but hopefully you guys can understand my explanation. Is this bad and if so how do I fix it? 2. What would be a good combo motor/controller for the extra torque needed to climb hills without stalling? I'd like to stay at around 15mph. If I get more speed then that's fine but not necessary. I will not be going straight up but want to make sure I can make it. All the climbing will be done on good condition logging roads. Much appreciated guys...Thanks a bunch!! |

I think your front end is normal. Do the 4ga cables now. It is supposed to give you more torque. If the batteries are from 05, they are probably near the end of their lives. You'll want to get a power kit for the driven clutch with the lift kit. Nice cart to start with.

I think (but not sure) that the drive clutch is for gas models. Please correct me if i am mistaken here.

OK...threw me there a bit. Much appreciated.
/----\ Above is a drawing of what I am talking about with the front tires. They aren't near as bad as my drawing shows but just didn't know if that was a bad thing that they were toed out(or whatever you call it) |
