Ordered the rear sprocket. It'll be a 54 tooth on the live axle. 3.47 final drive with stock rims and tires will give it about 80+mph. I may have to get a 15/60 sprocket combo if the torque curve is too small. The VFR's are known for some solid low end with super mid-range so I will gear accordingly. Really would like to have a test drive before the summer is over. Work work work.

Then I got the cart inside so there are no excuses on rainy days.

There isn't a lot of forward-aft room in the engine compartment, but with a custom swing arm I should be able to get by with a 4-6" rear stretch. Bigger tires will keep everything in proportion. I'm probably going to keep all the Honda parts that came with the bike, and reuse as much of the hardware that I can. Got to keep moving, I'm borrowing a welder next weekend to get started cutting and welding the required framing. Should be fun.
