Reverse Horn Suddenly On Going Forward
I have an EZGO TXT A402 (2002) with a Non-DCS, series motor with a brand new set of 36v batteries.
The cart has been running great over the past months since I got the new batteries. A few nights ago after a long ride, the cart was parked in the driveway and I heard the reverse horn come on by itself. Nothing I did to any of the switches would shut off the reverse horn. It would go forward, with the horn on, but at very reduced speed. I disconnected the batteries and reconnected and the problem went away. I let it charge overnight and attempted to go for another ride a few days later and things seemed to be working just fine - back to full power and no reverse horn. About 5 minutes into the ride, while driving, the reverse horn suddenly came back on and it seemed to again loose about 50% power. I limped it back home (horn-a-blar'n) and again disconnected/reconnected the batteries and things again seem to be back to normal. Any thoughts on this? Does this sound like a controller issue? Perhaps it is going bad? My controller is a Curtis PMC 25864g05 (pictured below). |
