Re: 2009 EzGo RXV Charging Issue
The RXV stock SOC meter plug is some proportional signal from the controller. It’s like 14 V on the circuit when charged.

Re: 2009 EzGo RXV Charging Issue
Looks like the 48v path from the battery to the SOC plug goes from the battery B+, through a fuse holder, then the plug under the cup holders, directly to the SOC meter. So check all the fuse holders on the side of the controller cover carefully, then check the plug under the cup holders (plug with green & red wires visible from the bottom of the cup holder area without removing cup holders). Seems like a fairly "straight shot".

Near 0v is "empty", near 5v is "full".. I'm pretty darned sure on this one. I have the diagrams & been to "ezgo school". |

I had planned to tap it to latch a 48V relay to give a key switched circuit in the dash, but it didn't work. I still can't figure out why looking at the wiring diagrams. |

Re: 2009 EzGo RXV Charging Issue
I appreciate all the messages traded overnight from GATORB8 and cgtech. Thank you.
***UPDATE*** After charging "overnight", here are the readings. From the SOC - 48.4VDC and 52% Direct from battery via a multimeter - 48.77VDC I mentioned "overnight" because when I checked, the cart's charge LED is not lit and the charger is on float or ~ (just AC Power). Not sure when it stopped charging. I will be asking a friend of mine who has an OEM charger and see if my cart behaves the same way and to see if his cart displays the same issue as mine when using my Quiq charger. Will check the wiring diagram later in the day. Again, thank you GATORB8 and cgtech for the support. PS - Golf cart is currently charging again. Hope it reaches more than 49VDC or 75% charge reading from the SOC later. |

Re: 2009 EzGo RXV Charging Issue
All 4 batteries are only 6 months old? Is the water at the correct height?
May want to check voltage of each battery separately. |

Battery water is under the brim of each cell so water is not touching the level. Just did another charge and the charge process is stopping again exactly 1 minute after the Quiq's popping sound. Not sure what to do at this point so help is badly needed. |

Re: 2009 EzGo RXV Charging Issue
You need to find a different charger to try.

Re: 2009 EzGo RXV Charging Issue
Here are the individual battery readings.
B1 - 12.40 B2 - 12.23 B3 - 12.44 B4 - 12.38 All Batteries - 49.4Vdc I am currently charging the batteries individually using a 6A slow charger. I used an OEM EzGo RXV Powerwise charger and the RED Fault LED is blinking that is why I am doing a slow charge of each of the batteries. It may take a while to post another update as I have 4 batteries to charge so I will provide feedback tomorrow. Thank you to all who have helped so far. |
