Charger Output
How can I test the voltage output of my charger. It has to be pulged into the cart to work?
My charger is a PowerDrive2 Model 22144. It's a 48 volt, although my cart is 36 volts. Came with it. Thank you |

The charger has to "see" a set limit of voltage from the cart to turn itself "on". Even if it did come on - your batteries would be toast from the 48 volt charging limits. You could also have a CC Charger that requires a computer cart to work. If you have a 36 volt cart, you won't have the computer. You need to contact your seller ASAP... I'm assuming that this is a new purchase? |

Re: Charger Output
OK..sorry, my mistake..it's a 48 volt system. The charger turns on when connected. There are 6 ECG8 Batteries in the system. The serial number starts with DS which means 48 voilts.
Can I connect a volt meter to check the charger output? Thank you |

Re: Charger Output
DS doesn't mean 48v they made DS model carts from 1984-2004 36, 48v and gas! So your batteries have 4 holes to put water in? Then 8v Xs 6 = 48v... U can use a voltmeter to check the out put while charging.

Re: Charger Output
Since U are new ,
Keep batteries clean and filled (distilled water only) Charge cart after each usage . Keep battery cables clean and tight (replace every 6-8 years) Read this http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...intenance.html |
