Re: Digital Voltmeter Display Installed
Perhaps a dumb question... if/when I get the meter working, it still needs to be calibrated... Is the proper approach to charge up batteries, let them sit for at least 1 hour (mine have been sitting for about 5 hours), and then set your meter to 38.2 (for a fully charged 36V system) ?
My DMM (Greenlee) is reading 39.3 right now. Could the meter be *that* off ? |

Re: Digital Voltmeter Display Installed
I don't think ya gotta wait....just take a reading with the handheld, and calibrate the dash meter to match.....and yeah, my 200v was quite a bit off......but my 12v was dead-on outta the box.....just my 2 cents...

Re: Digital Voltmeter Display Installed
Where do we stand with these things? I am on my second one = not working out of the box. Has anybody figure out what the proper power source is and what the proper dip switch settings are ? Mine doesn't seem to like separate grounds? I wire 'power' from a single 6v or 12v source = random led lights at the top of the meter?
I am going to try common ground next? |

I don't remember now who I bought my DVM from, but I haven't installed it yet. I bought it several months ago and just never got around to it after reading that some had trouble with them. I think I'll hook mine up, Velcro it to something for a little while before cutting a hole in my dash. Hopefully, it will be ok. |
