Cleaning up electrical wires
What are you guys using to avoid having a bunch of eyelets piled up on your battery terminals for all your accessories? I have a dedicated 12v battery for my accessories and they are all piled up: lights, blinker, horn, radio, discombobulator, radar jammer, etc...
One more question... Is there any particular type of fuse I should have in line with my radio? Just any 12v fuse will work? Thanks |

Re: Cleaning up electrical wires
Install a terminal block. Any fuse that is the correct size and amps.

Re: Cleaning up electrical wires
I figured out the amps part of the fuse.
For the terminal block I can link all of one side together and have one wire go to the positive battery side? |

Yep! they even come with the one side already linked by a tab and also available with fuses or breakers.

Re: Cleaning up electrical wires
Got terminal block from local auto parts store. fused with 30 amp. four terminals. Suggest you fuse each electrical goodie and lights with lower amp (7.5/10/15) fuses. Mounted on inside of battery well where it's handy to get at.

Re: Cleaning up electrical wires
I mounted a strip powered by a fog light relay, that way I am not pulling a lot of amps through the key switch.

[QUOTE] Thats a good idea, I like having a master switch that way you don't forget something as easily and wind up with dead batteries. |

Re: Cleaning up electrical wires
I have a #12 from battery + to a single fuse(tab broke off) that fuse then goes to the supply on the relay and a#12 from the switched side of the relay to the fuse strip to feed the other slots. The relay is activated by the ignition switch. I even ran my headlights off this, turn the key off every thing is off. the only thing on the key is ignition and the relay coil. I added a post for grounds by using a longer bolt to mount the fuse strip.
