Default Newbie to all things clutch

I apologize in advance for the long post.
So I acquired (free) a 1978 3 wheel that’s still in decent shape.
Found out it had a blown head gasket.
I lapped the head and put it together and it’s running pretty good.
I noticed that the secondary clutch cover was rubbed/trashed and spare parts
Plus I can pull the secondary clutch pretty far forward to the point that it feels like it will come off.
Is there supposed to be a retainer bolt that goes into the drive spline of the rear end? Totally lost on the way it works.
Where could I find diagrams for the drive assembly and any other helpful diagrams?
Thanks in advance from Iowa!

Yes, you should have a center bolt.
That is the governor lever that you are holding in your hand. Throw it away.
You can get rid of that plastic dust cover too. Mine exploded in cold weather.

Section K of this manual will show you how the clutch works.

Your engine is different with the internal starter, so some of the engine information, and wiring won't work for you. Ignore that stuff.

Excellent news! Thank you!
I will look into finding the secondary bolt and probably buy a new drive belt. I’d rather replace it now than later
