2010 EZ-GO TXT help

Are all 2010 model TXT's 48 volts?

My father in law is buying a few 2010 TXT's that only have 50 hours on them. On EZ-GO website it shows the new TXT's as 48 volt, but my father in law tells me that these are 36. Does this sound right?
I'm only asking because I'm thinking about buying one of these carts as well.

On their web site http://www.ezgo.com/ it looks like all TXT's are now 48 volt, but that doesn't mean that someone didn't special order a bunch of 36 volt carts. Bulk orders could be customized for special needs i.e. 40 carts ordered with 36 volt setup for a reduced price.

Before buying, make sure you aren't paying the 48volt price and getting 36volt carts. If it was a special order, then they got a deal and you shouldn't pay full price for their discount carts.

He is getting them with back seat and heavier spring and windshield for $3500, we thought it was a pretty good deal based on my research. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a nice deal.

I would check the batteries to find the date, ensure they havent been switched out.

Just for reference, I paid $2300 for a 2005, adding the back seat with HD springs was about 450 and adding lights was about 200 or so, all in all, it came to about 3000. It was 36v.

At that price, I am guessing they really are 36v.

Where do I find the date on,the batteries, we are new at this. Supposedly these carts were only used a week at a PGA event. Thanks guys!!

The date code will be stamped om the neg battery terminal. it will have a letter and number. the letter is month and number is year. If they are 48V they will have 6 8v batteries in them. And at 3500. That would be a steal. I will take 10 of them. lol.

At any rate, even a 36v 2010 would be a good deal.

Not sure how much you trust your seller, but look for the serial number on the cart, and post it up here, so that can be verified.

Also, just count the water caps on each battery. If there are 3 caps per battery, then it is 6volt batteries.

Thanks for all the help guys...they are also including the two year warranty. As long as EZGO will back their warranty, I don't see how we can go wrong.

E-Z-GO Changes model years each July, so a 2010 model would have been built in July 09 or later. The changeover to 48-volt system did not occur until January 2010, so these could be 36-volt models.
